The Baikal-Amur Mainline gives the second branch
On April 5, construction work began on a 340-kilometer section of the railway, which will begin at the Ulak station, where coking coal is mined, and will stretch to Fevralsk, Tyndinsky region. The installation involved 10 crews to meet the tight deadlines.
The work is part of a long-term project to modernize the Baikal-Amur Mainline and the Trans-Siberian Railway, aimed at laying additional tracks and increasing the carrying characteristics of roads. The implementation is taking place under an accelerated program.
