Investments in “North-South” will relieve Astrakhan roads
The transport corridor will receive 10.5 billion rubles for infrastructure development to improve the quality of international traffic. The main task of the project is to increase freight traffic by 8 million tons. To improve the efficiency of the North-South, it is planned to build two transport bypasses around Astrakhan: North and East. They will remove the load of heavy trucks from city highways and free the streets from transit traffic. Route P-22 “Caspian” will connect with the European route E-40. The new Volga road will cut the section of the highway twice and speed up international delivery from Sweden, Finland, Latvia.
