Russian-Finnish border gradually modernized
The Russia-EU cross-border cooperation program implies the reconstruction or modernization of checkpoints that need to be updated. The first automobile customs point was the Karelian “Wärtsilä”, which was erected in 1994 and has never been repaired since.
Wärtsilä is one of the main checkpoints in this area, but outdated infrastructure does not allow to fully cope with the flow of passenger and freight transport. The reconstruction plan is almost ready, work will begin immediately after the signing of a bilateral contract and will take three years. The maximum expiration date is December 2022.
The Finnish government will modernize the older Vartius point, opened in operation in 1973.
Freight transportation from Turkey, Finland, transportation to Poland and Belarus, the organization of transportation of goods by sea and land transport is possible in the company “Stabline”. The best logisticians will help to understand the necessary nuances of clearance of deliveries of goods, the passage of customs inspection.
