Construction of the railway “bypass” of the Perm region
Due to the high freight traffic of the Berezniki-Solikamsky hub, which impedes the usual traffic, Russian Railways, together with the government of the Perm Territory, decided to create a workaround. The project will result in 25 or more billion rubles.
Most likely, the route will pass along the new railway road and will join the existing railway routes on the Balmoshnaya-Levshino and Cable-Levshino segments. A total detour will last 5 km, another 1 km will take the path across the bridge over the Kama River.
The northern bypass project is still under negotiation, the approximate time for its implementation is four years. Additionally, a multimodal transport and logistics center is considered at the station and at the Perm II station.
