Transportation of goods: Dangerous goods

Various materials, production wastes, flammable, liquefied, explosive, self-igniting, poisonous, radioactive, corrosive and many other substances that could pose a threat during transportation fall into the category of dangerous goods. As a result of a road accident, such a cargo can cause a fire, explosion, death of people and animals, pollution of the environment, destruction of material values. To transport dangerous goods without special transport, registration of all relevant documents and permits is strictly prohibited.

Features of work with dangerous goods
When transporting them, all items of the international agreement (ADR) must be met, in which such goods are divided into nine classes of danger. Each class is prescribed a certain mode of transport and special transportation conditions. Most often for the delivery of dangerous goods use special cars (cisterns, container trucks, depending on what consistency have the substances carried). This variant of delivery is convenient in that it is possible to transport cargo to any remote place in a short time by car. To work with dangerous goods, we involve the most experienced drivers who have undergone special training.

In addition to motor transport for the transport of dangerous goods, railway transport is also used: in special tanks and containers, such cargo is accurately carried by rail. This option is more economical and safe, because accidents on railways are extremely rare. Demand for transportation of dangerous goods by sea is also in demand: by sea, a large consignment of cargo can be delivered, and the slow speed of delivery is compensated by the relative cheapness of this delivery option. Sometimes customers use air transport for the urgent transportation of a small batch of dangerous goods. This transportation is expensive, but the costs are compensated by the speed of delivery.
